Driver’s license renewal: All You Need to Know Guide From A-Z

In Nigeria, it is a necessity to carry-out Driver’s license renewal once every 3 or 5 years as it usually expires after this period. For a new driver trying to renew your driver’s license for the first time, you might not be sure of what to do.

Similarly, if this isn’t your first time, you should be familiar with the hassle associated with Driver’s license renewal in Nigeria. The long queue, the time wasted and all the inconvenience. Most times one has to pay more than the required amount to tip or bribe an officer just to get things done faster.

However, It is significant to note that the Federal road safety commission had addressed these issues since 2017. Nigerian drivers no longer need to go through the manual process of visiting FRSC office. You can now process your driver’s license renewal from the comfort of your home or office.

The introduction of the FRSC Driver’s license renewal portal helped to curb the bribery and corruption in the system.  Moreover, the convenience and easiness this development brings are applaudable.
